In this video, I talk through whether the Nikon Z7II still makes sense in 2026 for landscape photographers. This is a real-world look at how this camera actually holds up today.
I share what the Z7II still does extremely well for landscapes, where it starts to show its age compared to newer cameras, and which of those differences actually matter when you are shooting slowly, deliberately, and often on a tripod. Things like autofocus behavior in difficult light, general responsiveness, base ISO performance, and file flexibility all come into play.
This is based on my own experience using the Z7II for landscape photography and is meant to help you think more clearly about whether this camera still fits your workflow, or whether upgrading would meaningfully change your results.
