Apple is selling two very different devices for the exact same price. The MacBook Neo gives you a full laptop with keyboard, trackpad, and 256GB of storage for $599. The iPad Air M4 gives you a tablet with half the storage — and needs almost $500 in accessories to match what the Neo includes out of the box.
But the iPad fights back with a significantly more powerful M4 chip, 50% more RAM, Apple Pencil Pro support, and the flexibility of a touchscreen tablet. So which $599 is actually the better deal? I spent the past week using both side by side to find out — and the answer comes down to who you are and what you actually need.
